ICYMI: GA Rowing Alum news

Lifting this update from the Summer/Fall 2016 Germantown Academy Patriot alumnae news.

Kate Horvat ’14 [former co-captain of the GA crew team] was a member of Yale University’s elite varsity 4+ boat that went undefeated most of the year. She sat in the bow seat of the varsity four that won a gold medal at the Ivy League Championship and won the petite final at the NCAA Championship.

In the same issue, a recap of the end of the 2016 crew season  in the Sports Report section had this to say:

The Patriots’ crew team was well represented at the 2016 Scholastic Rowing Association of America national championships. Katie Aemisegger ’16 finished fourth overall in the varsity single event. The three-sport athlete also took third at the Stotesbury Regatta and won the Carole Ann Cup at the Philadelphia Scholastic Rowing Association City Championships to become the third GA [girls varsity single] gold medalist at Cities in three years.

In GA’s lightweight double boat, junior Lindsay Naber ’17 (stroke) and senior Nina Tang ’16 (bow) earned a silver medal at Nationals by a whopping 0.065 seconds over the third place crew and 1.075 seconds over the fourth place crew.
